My Poly Fest Writing

Kia Ora, talofa lava, malo e lelei, fakaalofa lahi atu, kia orana, bula vinaka, namaste and greetings!!  It’s Pasifika week in Aotearoa, this means it’s a week long celebration of all things Pacific.  This includes the birthday dance we had with Mrs Tele’a!  Part of the celebration is the Polyfest!  This Thursday we are planning to travel to Manukau to take part in some workshops and then visit stages.  The two stages we will be visiting will be the Maori and Diversity stages.  Did you know that this event - the Poly fest celebrates 40 years since it’s beginning?  Awesome isn’t it!
MY Poly fest Writing

The young people who joined the poly fest group wanted to celebrate their culture for their family or they just wanted to learn a different culture that they haven't learnt yet. Or maybe they wanted to go to the poly fest group because their friend was in it.

They are practicing, learning, reading, watching and teaching them what it means. They had to practice this nearly every day so they are going to be very shy because there is about 900 kids or more at the poly fest.

This event will promote them because they are celebrating the cultures of the cook island groups because they are dancing and making the different food that most people haven't eaten or even tasted.

I am mostly looking forward to the food and the cook island dances that is going to be shown to us and the other schools in Auckland. I think everyone will be excited to go to the poly fest because we are so lucky to see these dances because these are from the lovely cook islands.
